Members of Einme Township National League for Democracy in Ayeyawady Division U Hla Shwe, U Shwe Kyi, U Tin Thein, U Lu Tay, U Yar Pyat, U Thein Hsaing, U Than Doak and U Min Min Zaw of Kyakhatkwin village resigned from the NLD of their own accord on 26 June 2006. They sent the letters of resignation to NLD Headquarters and local authorities.

In their letters, they said NLD party had committed acts that are detrimental to the people and the State. The reason for which they resigned from the party was that they had lost trust in the NLD.
