Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force and the Customs Department exposed 203 drug-related cases in January 2006. They were: 26.0604 kilos of opium in 20 cases, 31.9548 kilos of heroin in 79 cases, 1,000 kilos of morphine, 0.284 kilo of opium oil in five cases, 0.1439 kilo of low-grade opium in five cases, 0.183 kilo of marijuana in eight cases, 12,043,734 stimulant tablets in 68 cases, 72.8081 kilos of stimulant powder, 9.7396 kilos of opium speciosa in six cases, two ecstasy tablets in one case, one kilo of cocaine in one case, 54 ampoules of morphine injection, 228.92 litres of chemical liquid, 2,197.8305 kilos of chemical powder in one case, four cases in failure to register and other four cases.

Action was taken against 321 persons — 261 men and 60 women — in 203 drug-related cases in January.
