With the aim of upholding Our Three Main National Causes, of building a strong, capable and modern Tatmadaw, and of ensuring the emergence of a discipline-flourishing democratic nation, the Tatmadaw government hand in hand with the national people is taking systematic step for successful realization of the seven-point Road Map. In the past, there was a lack of peace, stability and development in border regions due to armed insurgency. In the time of the Tatmadaw government, armed insurgency has brought to an end, and peace and stability prevails instead. With the prevalence of peace and stability, unprecedented progress has now been made in education, health, economic and transport sectors of border regions, thereby enhancing socio-economic life of the local people. The government is making all-out efforts for the emergence of a modern and developed nation, while striving for the realization of a democratic system with fully institutionalized discipline. In this regard, stability of the State, community peace and tranquility and prevalence of law and order are indispensable. The entire national people have already realized that development work cannot be carried out without the three factors. Therefore, the Tatmadaw government, after its assumption of the State responsibilities, has given priority to stability of the State and prevalence of law and order. As a result, altogether 17 armed groups have returned to the legal fold, and they are now striving together with the government foe regional development. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the entire national people to strive together with the government for the emergence of a peaceful, modern, developed and discipline-flourishing democratic nation on the basis of Union Spirit, stamping out dangers of internal and external destructive elements. |
