Executive of Gyobingauk Township National League for Democracy in Bago Region (West) U Aye Ko Ko resinged from the party on 25 May, members U Kyi Aung and U Myint Cho of Sibinkauk village on 26 July, Daw Phyu of Leinpinkwin Taungsu village on 28 July, U Mya Kyaing of Kankalay village on 1 August, U Thet Khaing of Anauktaung Ward on 22 August and U Sein Win, U Hla Thaung and U Myint Oo of Bantbwaygon Village on 25 August. They quit the party of their own accord sending their resignations to NLD Headquarters and authorities concerned.

The resignation letters to Gyobingauk Township Multi-Party Democracy General Election Sub-commission, they said they quit the party of their own volition as they lost interest and faith in the NLD and its leaders due to the fact that the party had never served the interest of the State and the people and had been on a collision course with the government.
