The Myanmar Motion Picture Asiayon, Myanmar Music Asiayon, Myanmar Traditional Artists and Artisans Asiayon and Myanmar Writers and Journalists Association issued declarations condemning the draft resolution submitted by the United States and Britain to the United Nations Security Council in order to interfere in Myanmar’s internal affairs.

The United States made an attempt to put the Myanmar issue on the agenda of the UNSC accusing the country of posing a threat to regional and international peace and security. Placing its interest in the fore, the US made such accusations with every intention of interfering in Myanmar’s internal affairs using the UN as a tool. Thanks to the unity of friendly nations and regional and neighbouring nations the evil scheme of the US has met with failure. As the submission of the draft resolution by the US and Britain was contrary to the wishes of the Myanmar people and ignored the truth, the MWJA together with the people strongly denounced it.

Likewise, the Myanmar Motion Picture Asiayon, Myanmar Music Asiayon and Myanmar Traditional Artists and Artisans Asiayon condemned the draft resolution co-sponsored by the US and Britain. They also condemned national traitors at home and abroad who colluded with the external elements.

Therefore, the draft resolution of the US and Britain to interfere in Myanmar’s internal affairs, ignoring the nation’s prevailing situation was just an attempt to install a puppet government under their influence.
