Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force and the Customs Department exposed 230 drug-related cases in June 2006.

They seized 928.7056 kilos of opium in 38 cases, 25.4361 kilos of heroin in 75 cases, 5.135 kilos of morphine in one case, 1.7355 kilos of opium oil in five cases, 0.7882 kilo of inferior opium in six cases, 6.9023 kilos of marijuana in 17 cases, 997,655 stimulant tablets in 62 cases, 380 kilos of Ephedrine, 21.1276 kilos of stimulant powder, 145.9102 kilos of opium speciosa in 11 cases, 16 kilos of catamine in one case, 545.4 kilos of Caffeine, 1,000 litres of acetic anhydride, 366 litres of chemical liquid, 375 kilos of

chemical powder, four cases in failure to register and two other cases.

Action was taken against 369 persons — 304 men and 65 women — in 230 cases in June.
