Ten members of Hinthada Township National League for Democracy Party resigned from the party of their own volition on 25 June.

U Mya Thaung, U Phoe Htay, U Sein Win, U Than Win, U San Win, U Aung Ya, U Tin Aung Myint, U Kyaw Swe, U San Hlaing and U Soe Hla of Hinthada Township NLD sent their resignation letters to the NLD (HQ) and local administrative bodies.

In the letters sent to Hinthada Township Multi-party General Election Subcommission, they said that NLD has not cooperated with the government and the people for the development of the country.

They also witnessed that NLD tried to jeopardise the country in cooperation with internal and external elements, they said.

These are the reasons why they left the party of their own accord, they said.
