U Than Win, member of Chauk Township National League for Democracy of Magway Region on 1 July resigned from the NLD of his own accord, sending his resignation letter to the NLD headquarters and local authorities.

In his resignation letter sent to Chauk Township Multi-party Democracy General Election Subcommission, he said that he no longer wished to remain as NLD member due to unacceptable acts of the NLD; and that is why he resigned from it of his own accord.
