Six members including U Myo Nyein, U Hla Win, U Thet Maung Soe, U Than Zaw and U Win Naing of Taikkyi Township National League for Democracy in Yangon Division and U Nyi Nyi Lwin(a)U Bo Bo of Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Township NLD, resigned from the party of their own accord, sending their letters of resignation to NLD Headquarters and authorities concerned on 29 and 30 August.

In the letters sent to Taikkyi Township and Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Township Multiparty Democracy Election Subcommissions, they said that they quit the NLD of their own volition as they no longer had trust and confidence in NLD and its leaders.
