Three members — U Myint Thein, Daw Than Than Win and Daw Aye Aye Mon — of Pathein Township National League for Democracy, Ayeyawady Region, resigned from the party of their own accounts and sent their letters of resignation to NLD and authorities concerned.

In their letters sent to Pathein Township Multiparty Democracy Election Sub commission, they said NLD party does not carry out party politic only and is committing acts to harm State and its people. They get fed up with the acts of the party and no longer believe in the party and its leaders. That was why they resigned from the party of their volition, they said.
