Two members—U Hla Yi and U Tun Myaing—of Einme Township National League for Democracy, Ayeyawady Region, resigned from the party of their own accounts and sent their letters of resignation to the NLD and authorities concerned.
In their letters sent to Einme Township Multiparty Democracy General Election Subcommision, they said the NLD could not bring about national interest and it greatly hindered the national development. NLD members keep distance from the people and they are condemned by the people. That was why they resigned from the party of their own volition, the letters said.
