A total of 14 members from Pathein and Myaung townships National League for Democracy resigned from the party of their own accord on 19 and 20 September.

A member of Pathein Township NLD and 13 members of Myaung Township, Sagaing Division, NLD sent their resignation letters to NLD Headquarters and local authorities on 19 and 20 September respectively.

In their resignation letters sent to Pathein Township and Sagaing Division Multi-party Democracy General Election Sub-commissions, they said they quit NLD of their own volition as they no longer wanted to be members of NLD.

Those who resigned from NLD were U Hla Than Kyaw of Pathein Township, U Soe Min, U Htein Win and U Aung Toe of Pareinma Village, Myaung Township, U Saw Kyi, Daw Yi, U Win Sein, Ma Khin Myo Win, Ma Win Win Maw, Ma Win Win Khaing, Ma Wai Wai Lwin, U Kyi Aye, U Than Naing and Daw Nwe of Aitha Village, Myaung Township.
