Members Daw Tin Tin Aye, U Maung Sein and U Khin San of Kyaikmaraw Township National League for Democracy of Mon State on 8 June, members U Maung Win and U Tin Hlaing of Hlegu Township NLD of Yangon Region and Einme Township NLD members U Zaw Myint, U Khin Maung Tint, U Tin Hla, U Maung Pein, U Win Myint, U Bo Bo and U Myint Oo of Theekwin Village-tract of Einme Township of Ayeyawady Region on 9 June resigned from the NLD of their own volition, sending letters of resignations to the NLD Headquarters and local authorities.

In their letters sent to Kyaikmaraw, Hlegu and Einme Township Multi-party Democracy General Election Subcommissions, they said that the NLD is concentrating on confrontation harmful to the State and the people, but not performing party politics. Therefore, they no longer trusted in the NLD and its leaders, and that is why they resigned from the NLD, they said.
