NLD leaders seeking self-interest, relying on western big nations, undermining national interest
Nine members of Ayadaw Township NLD resign

Members of the Ayadaw Township National League for Democracy of Sagaing Region U Nyein Maung of Wetpyit Village, Magyikan Village- tract, U Thein Aung, U Kan Myint and U San Tin on 31 May, and U Nyunt of Ayadaw, U Chit Tee, U Ohn Pe, Daw Mann Hlaing and Daw Ohn Kyin altogether nine on 3 June resigned from the party of their own accord, sending letters of resignation to the NLD Headquarters and local authorities concerned.

In the letters of resignation sent to the Sagaing Region Multiparty Democracy General Election Sub-commissions, they said that they no longer wished to be members of the party as the NLD leaders were seeking self-interest and relying on western big nations as well as undermining national interest, following the directives of foreign embassies.

That was why they resigned from the party of their own volition, they said.
