48 members resign from Eimme Township NLD

Altogether 13 members of the Eimme Township National League for Democracy of Ayeyawady Region including U Tun Kyaw and U Than Lwin of Kyakhatkway Village and U Zaw Myint of Seekwin Village, five members including U Kyi Win of Htanbinyo (Khattiya) Village, five members including U Zaw Myint and U Than Gyi of Ywama (Khattiya) Village and U Myint Ohn of Yetho Nyaungwaing Village, five members including U Tun Myint of Panar Theinkyaungsu Village, three members including U Bo San of Sarphyuseik Village, seven members including U Tun Wai of Khattiya Village, eight members including U Kho Li of Thangyaung Village, U Ni of Phayagyigon Village, and U Myint Maung of Kunyatagun Village totalling 48 persons on 11 June resigned from the party of their own accord, sending letters of resignation to the NLD Headquarters and local authorities concerned.

In their letters of resignation sent to the Eimme Township Multiparty Democracy General Election Sub-commissions, they said that they were fed up with the NLD as it has been engaged in activities that are undermining the State and the people without participating in nation-building endeavours. That was why they resigned from the party of their own accord, they said.
