A total of 14 members of Sagaing Township National League for Democracy — U Htay Saung, U Thein Lwin, U Nyo Maung, U Htay Hlaing, U Than Win, U Kyaw Aye, U Thit Lwin, U Kan, U Hla Aung and U Myint Ngwe of Paukma Village, U Shwe Baw, U San Maung, U Mutu and U Chit Maung of Daungma Village — quit NLD of their own accord yesterday, sending their resignation letters to NLD Headquarters and local authorities.

In their letters sent to Sagaing Division Multi-party Democracy General Election Sub-committee, they said that they no longer wanted to be members of NLD. That was why they quit the NLD of their own accord, they said.
