The Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and Avian Influenza Programme Myanmar of FAO jointly organized the talks on control of avian influenza at the hall of the LBVD in Insein Township this afternoon.

Senior Consultant Dr Masao Sasaki of Avian Influenza Programme Myanmar, International Expert Dr Alessandro Cristalli of FAO/OIE Reference Laboratory, Adviser Dr Than Hla of the LBVD and Deputy Director-General Dr Than Tun of the department gave talks on control of avian influenza. Those present took part in the discussions.

Also present at the talks were senior officers, heads of state/division LBVDs and laboratory technicians, totalling 40.
