Two members— U Tint Lwin and U Aung Myint of Alamyo Village of Danubyu Township National League for Democracy of Ayeyawady Region resigned from the party of their own accord on 14 June.

They sent resignation letters to NLD headquarters and local authorities concerned. They said in their letters sent to Danubyu Township Multiparty Democracy General Election Sub-commission, that they were disappointed with acts of the party, that they had no longer trusted in party’s leaders and had no more wish to work as party members. Therefore, they resigned from the party. It is also stated that they would take part in the development drives of the State in cooperation with the people.
