A total of 49 members including U Kyaw Tint of Bye Tayaw village, U Tin Gyi of Natma Naing village, U Nyo Aye of Sa Yay village, U Lone San of Pegatoe village, U Hla Win of Ta Einte village, U Hla Win of Lin Talu village, U Tat Si of Kyaukka Ywama village and U Khin Maung Win of Ta Laingkyan village of Sagaing Township National League for Democracy of Sagaing Division resigned from NLD of their own accord on 9 September.

They sent their letters of resignation to NLD (Headquarters) and local authorities concerned. They said in the resignation letters sent to Sagaing Division Multiparty Democracy General Election Sub-commission that NLD had no exact political course and there was disunity within the party. In addition, party’s leader were incompetent and seeking political gain. Therefore, they quit NLD of their own volition.
