Members U Nyan Win and U Win Myat of Pathein Township National League for Democracy of Ayeyawady Division on 17 August and members Tun Tun Win (a) Tun Tun Win Aung and Kyaw Kyaw Tun (a) Kyaw Soe of Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Township NLD on 20 August resigned from the party of their own accord, sending letters of resignation to NLD Headquarters and local authorities.

In their letters sent to Pathein and Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Township Multi-party Democracy General Election Subcommissions, they said that they lost interest in acts of the NLD and they had no longer relied on the party and its leaders. That is why they resigned from the party of their own volition, they said.
