Members Daw Tin Tin Aung, Daw San San Win, Daw Tin Tin Naing, Daw Aye Aye Lwin, Daw Kyi Kyi Mya, U Aung Paik and U Thein Soe resigned from Myaung Township National League for Democracy of Sagaing Division on 24 August of their own volition and sent letters of resignation to NLD Headquarters and local authorities. In their letters sent to Myaung Township Multi-party Democracy General Election Subcommission, they said that the NLD ignores nation building endeavours of the government and it is committing confrontation acts, relying on big west countries. Hence, they lost trust and faith in the NLD and party leaders. That is why they resigned from the party of their own accord, they said.
