Members of Sagaing Township National League for Democracy, organizer U Thein Aung, U Zaw Win Lay and U Saw Myint of Kaungphu Village resigned of their own volition from the party by sending letters of resignation to NLD Headquarters and authorities concerned on 15 January.

The resignation letter sent to Sagaing Township Multiparty Democracy General Election Subcommission says they quit of their own accord, as they no longer had faith and interest in the NLD losing their support of the party’s activities.
