Township women organizer in-charge (1) Daw Myaing (a) Daw Than Nyunt residing in Chanmyathazi Township and member U Hla Aung of Mandalay South-East Township National League for Democracy, Ayadaw Township NLD members U Htay Win and U Thein Tun of Taunghmwa village in Sagaing Division on 26 January and Mandalay South-East Township NLD members U Khin Maung Win and Daw Hla Kyi of Chanmyathzi Township on 27 January resigned form the NLD of their own volition.

In their letters sent to the NLD and local authorities, they said that they had no longer wish to remain as the members of the party.
