A ceremony to present resignation letters of 46 members from Thakayta Township National League for Democracy was held at the Dhammayon at the junction of No 2 Khine Shwe Wah Street and Thalawati Street, 10/South- 13 Ward in Thakayta Township yesterday.

Ward NLD Secretary Daw Khin Than Htay said that they disagreed with NLD party and they did not want to cooperate with NLD any longer. That was why they resigned from NLD of their own volition and presented letters of resignation to Chairman U Mya Kyaing of Thakayta Township Multi-party Democracy General Election Sub-commission.

The 46 members are Daw Khin Than Htay, Daw Than Than Aye, Daw Pyone Yi, Daw Zin Mar Tun, U Ye Lwin Oo, U Kyaw Zin, Ma Htay Htay Mar, U Tun Tun Oo, U Myo Thu, Daw Win Yin, Ma Khin Mar Htay, Daw Myint, Ma Mu Mu Kyaw, Daw San Myint, U Min Min, U Min Lwin, Daw Mya Thit Nwe, Daw Than Than Htay, U Nyunt Win, U Tun Oo, Daw Than Win, Daw Nwe Nwe San, U Hla Kyaing, Daw Hla Hla Htwe, Daw Hla Ohn Mai, U Tin Soe, U Nyi Nyi Naing, Ma Moe Thida, Ma Zin Zin, U Baw Baw, Ma Khin Moe Moe, Ma Thin Thin Maw, U Kyaw Nyunt, Daw Aye Than, Ma Su, Daw Pyone Kyi, U Min Aung, Daw San, Daw Aye Cho, Daw Nu Nu Khine, Daw Mar Oo, Daw Tin Tin Nwe, Daw Tin Tin Win, U Min Min Tun, U Aung Kyaw Thet and Ma Zin New Oo.

Resignation letters were sent to NLD (Headquarters) on Shwegondine Road in Bahan Township and local authorities concerned.
