The State has granted visas to experts and personnel from international aid organizations to provide humanitarian assistance to the storm victims, to assess the damages due to the storm that hit the country on 2 and 3 May, and to carry out health care services and rehabilitation works.

The number of foreigners who entered the country from 5 May to 30 June was 1,670 including 1,076 from UN, NGOs and INGOs, 498 from ASEAN and neighbouring countries to carry out health care services and 96 to attend the ASEAN-UN Pledging Conference. A total of 913 left the country as they completed their works and 757 have been doing their works in the storm-hit areas.
