Senior General Than Shwe sees off Prime Minister

General Thein Sein on his departure for Brunei Darussalam

At the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar General Thein Sein and party left here at 11:30 am today by special aircraft for Bandar Seri Begawan to pay an official visit to Brunei Darussalam.

Prime Minister General Thein Sein and party were seen off at Nay Pyi Taw Airport by Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Than Shwe, Vice- Chairman of the SPDCDeputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander–in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye, Member of the SPDC General Thura Shwe Mann of the Ministry of Defence, Secretary-
1 of the SPDC Lt-Gen Thiha Thura Tin Aung Myint Oo, members of SPDC Lt-Gen Maung Bo, Lt-Gen Ye Myint, Lt-Gen Khin Maung Than and Lt- Gen Aung Htwe of the Ministry of Defence, Commander– in-Chief (Navy), Vice-Admiral Soe Thein, Commander-in-Chief (Air) Lt-Gen Myat Hein, Lt-Gen Myint Hlaing, Lt- Gen Ye Myint and Maj- Gen Tha Aye of the Ministry of Defence, Adjutant- General Maj-Gen Thura Myint Aung, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Wai Lwin, senior military officers, departmental heads and Charge d’ Affaires ai of Embassy of Brunei Mr Noorazmi Haji Sulaiman.

Prime Minister General Thein Sein was accompanied by Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation Maj-Gen Htay Oo, Minister for National Planning and Economic Development U Soe Tha, Minister for Commerce Brig-Gen Tin Naing Thein, Minister for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs Col Thein Nyunt, Minister for Transport Maj-Gen Thein Swe, Minister for Energy Brig-Gen Lun Thi, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Thu, Director-General of SPDC Office Col Kyaw Kyaw Win, Director-General of the Protocol Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Kyaw, heads of departments and officials.
