Subversive elements inside and outside the nation are plotting to commit destructive acts in the nation with the intention of undermining stability of the State, community peace, and prevalence of law and order, killing the innocent people and creating a public panic in the nation. At about 4.30 am on 11 January, a bomb went off in a public toilet in the compound of the staff quarters near Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Station, while Naw Gae Lar of Laythit Village in Htantabin Township was making preparations to plant the bomb. The explosion cost her life. At about 7.30 pm the same day, corporal Saw Di Thaw Mu of Battalion (8) of KNU Brigade (3) also in charge of collecting extortion money was killed and four innocent people wounded in the bomb blast that took place near U Maung Maung circus show being staged to mark the Independence Day in the football ground in Nyaungbintha Village, Pyu Township, Bago Division. The bomb exploded while Saw Di Thaw Mu was trying to plant the bomb. Similarly, a bomb explosion occurred between the public toilet and the brick wall of Yangon Railway Station near the upper class train ticket booth in the compound of the station on Bogyoke Aung San Street in Mingala Taungnyunt Township. An innocent person was injured in the incident. The abovementioned news stories have been reported for public information. According to the information received recently, internal and external destructive elements are scheming together to detonate bombs again in some important places and busy places in the nation, and they are sending trained destructionists into the nation. Accordingly, authorities concerned are taking measures to be able to expose the saboteurs and explosives. The people are thus reminded to inform the authorities concerned as soon as possible if they notice any persons and acts suspicious in their societies. |
