A meeting between the Spokes Authoritative Team of the State Peace and Development Council and Special Advisor of the United Nations’ Secretary-General Mr Ibrahim Agboola Gambari took place at the National Defence College in Yangon at 3 pm on 19th August.
Leader of the team Minister for Information Brig-Gen Kyaw Hsan and members Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win and Minister for Culture Maj-Gen Khin Aung Myint were present.
The team hosted a dinner for Mr Ibrahim Agboola Gambari at Mya Yeik Nyo Royal Hotel in the evening.
This morning, Mr Gambari and party visited the Rehabilitation Camp (Central) in Kungyangon Township, Yangon Division. Deputy Director U Kyaw Khaing Thein of the Ministry of Energy briefed them on progress of reconstruction tasks in the storm hit township.
Mr Gambari and party observed monsoon paddy field No. 364 in Tawchaung Village, Kungyangon Township, new homes of storm victims in Htandaw Village, reconstruction of the basic education primary school and makeshift school buildings in Nyaungngu Village.
