Director-General U Maung Maung Nyunt of the Veterinary and Livestock Breeding Department and Project Coordinators of Bangkok-based Asia and Pacific Regional FAO Office Dr Wantanee Kalpravidh and Dr Kaoru Machida and CEC members of Myanmar Breeding Federation observed outbreak of bird flu and raising of poultry at Nyaunghnapin Integrated Special Zone in Hmawby Township yesterday morning.

At the briefing hall, in-charge of the zone- 2 U Kyaw Swe Win explained progress of agriculture and livestock breeding tasks, and Director-General U Maung Maung Nyunt discussed setting up of new livestock breeding zones after outbreak of bird flu, providing of chicks and medicines and disbursement of loans from Myanmar Livestock and Fishery Bank.

They visited the poultry farm of U Sai Saw Lwin and Kaung Thukha poultry farm and gave advice to the entrepreneurs on measures to be taken for bio security.
