Myanmar will be hosting an International Pledging Conference declaring financial and other forms of assistance from international donors for the victims of Cyclone Nargis that struck Myanmar on the 2^nd and 3^rd May 2008, at Sedona Hotel here on 25^th May 2008.

The ASEAN-UN International Pledging Conference will be attended by the UN delegation led by United Nations Secretary-General Mr Ban Ki-moon, delegations from UN Agencies, International Organizations, International Financial Institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations. The ASEAN Secretary-General and Cabinet Ministers from ASEAN member states, Ministers and Deputy Ministers from China, India, Republic of Korea, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, France, Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom and diplomats will also be at the Conference. About 360 participants will be represented at the gathering.
