Every citizen is desirous of leading a stable and peaceful life in the framework of law and improving the economic life and social life and ensuring development of their motherland and region, keeping abreast of global changes.
The government puts emphasis on security of the people’s social economic life. It is working hard to enable the nation and the people to stand tall in the global community and keep pace with other global countries in the political, economic and social sectors.
At the same time, it is pursuing national goals for perpetual existence of the Union and for ensuring that the nation will not become a minion of a foreign country.
The State constitution (2008), which can guarantee that the national goals are safeguarded and promoted from one generation to the next, will be approved by the people soon. The draft constitution states all necessary principles for the delegation of the sovereign powers of the Union of Myanmar, perpetuation of the Union, and ensuring that the people enjoy the rights and fundamental rights equally.
To approve the State constitution is the bounden duty of the entire national people and the national duty to be carried out by the entire people. So, the citizens who are strongly imbued with patriotic spirit, who value independence and sovereignty, who oppose interference of the colonialists and who hate to become lackeys of the colonialists will have to participate in the processes for successful holding of the referendum for approval of the state constitution.
