Minister for Health Dr Kyaw Myint, accompanied by Director- General Dr Win Myint of Department of Health, Director-General Dr Tin Nyunt of Traditional Medicine Department and officials inspected progress on construction tasks of the Health Department in Chanayethasan township in Mandalay Division on 1 May.

The following day, the minister and party viewed medical care services being provided to the patients at the dispensary, traditional medicine intensive care unit, skin intensive care unit, sexually transmitted disease ward, malaria and TB intensive care unit, surgical room, paediatric ward and dental clinic and comforted the patients.

The next day, the minister and party looked into eye treatment being provided to the patients in collaboration with Myanmar eye specialists and Japanese eye specialists led by Dr Yoshifumi Fujita at Eye, Nose, Ear and Throat Hospital in Mandalay.

After comforting the patients, the minister and party viewed eye treatments being provided by the eye specialists and attended to the needs. Upon arrival at Mandalay International Airport, they inspected preventive measures against swine flu and medical checks-up to foreign arrivals and made arrangements to fulfill the requirements.
