15 Dec 2009—The Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force and Customs Department exposed 188 drug related cases in November 2009.

They seized 24.04086 kilos of opium in 23 cases, 3.0687 kilos of heroin in 63 cases, 0.34525 kilos of opium oil in 3 cases, 4.9082 kilos of low-grade opium in 8 cases, 38.6050 kilos of marijuana in 21 cases, 193,000 stimulant tablets in 42 cases, 63.9909 kilos of opium speciosa in 10 cases, one case of 1.002 kilos of stimulant powder, 0.41793 of cough syrup two cases, 63 bottles of Buprinorphere in three cases, 7,252,035 Pseudo Ephedrine tablets in three cases, eight cases of failure to register and other one case.

Action was taken against 296 persons—245 men and 51 women—in 188 drug related cases according to law.
