Kawthoung Township Anti-human trafficking special squad arrested one of human traffickers, Aye Kyu of Kawthoung, while interrupting two men and four women of Theinbyuzayat and Launglon at the jetty on Haymar street in Shwezinyaw ward in Kawthoung at 7.45 p.m. on 28 July before departure for the neighboring country.

The investigation revealed that they gave K 100, 000 per head to four human traffickers to smuggle them to the other country to work illegally there. Action was taken against Aye Kyu and authorities concerned are trying hard to arrest remaining three human traffickers.

Kyauktada Police Station filed a charge against Ma San San Myint of Kyaukme who was at the foodstall at the corner of Sule Pagoda Road and Anawrahta Street in Yangon according to the file opened by a human trafficked victim at the Police Station on 29 July morning. The investigation revealed that she sold three women as prostitutes at the other country seven months ago. Authorities concerned are trying hard to arrest Maung Myint who committed human trafficking together with Ma San San Myint.
