Mussel collectors earn increased incomes in summer

4 May 2012 - Water level of rivers and creeks decline in April in summer, so those who collect mussels can earn incomes. The collectors may collect over 200 mussels at lakes, creeks and drains daily, selling it at K 1600 to K 2000 per viss. The mussels are washed in water and then boiled in pot. After opening the covers , flesh of mussles is to be boiled. Then, the flesh can be cooked with the use of various cooking materials or made as salad. Despite collecting least number of mussels in previous years, the collectors sell mussels at markets due to gathering larger number of mussels this year. |
