Pyithu Hluttaw session continues for 22nd day
One bill submitted and approved, reports read out
Pyithu Hluttaw representatives seen at the 22nd day third regular session of first Pyithu Hluttaw.

27 April—The 22nd Day session of Pyithu Hluttaw was held at Pyithu Hluttaw Hall of Hluttaw Building here at 1.10pm today, attended by Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann and 371 Pyithu Hluttaw representatives. At the meeting, one bill was submitted and approved and reports read out.

The foreign expenditure bill sent by Amyotha Hluttaw with amendments was accepted on 25 April and the date of discussion of this bill will be announced. Those whishing to make a proposal to discuss the amendments made by Amyotha Hluttaw are to send the bill they want to amend with the exact para, sub-para and subject not later than at 1 pm on 28 April.

Next, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Myo Myint submitted a bill on revocation of foreign relations act and Bill Committee member U Khin Maung Shwe read out a report of the committee regarding the bill.

The Hluttaw approved the bill as it is to revoke an act which is not in conformity with the current situation and the bill committee remarked that the act should be revoked and the representatives decided it was not necessary to make any amendments to the bill.

Then, Bill Committee member Dr Soe Moe Aung read out a report of the committee regarding the 2012 basic education bill submitted by Pyithu Hluttaw Education Promotion Committee on 25 April.

Today’s session ended at 2.50 pm and the date of 23rd session will be announced.—
