The Ahkha National Traditional Communal New Year Festival

The Ahkha nationals are known to be the descendants from the Hson Mee Ohh, (Ahkha) tribe, and they like to preserve their traditional culture and customs and that is why every year, the Ahkha nationals celebrate their traditional New Year festival proudly and unitedly. On that day, all Ahkha nationals living in the hilly regions and in the plains of eastern Shan State get together, to joyously participate in the festival. It is unique, amazing and interesting to see the dance of the Ahkha nationals in their traditional costumes.

On this auspicious occasion, the invited guests and all those present are served with traditional food. Moreover, outstanding students are given prizes. It is appreciable to witness the model parents and the families of Ahkha hero accept the honorary awards presented to them in honour of the deeds performed by their dead love ones.

The Ahkha nationals also entertained their guests with traditional strives and dances.

Now, as I can't resist myself anymore, I am joining them happily in the dances. I'm sure you would all like to join me and my Ahkha friends and dance to the heart throbbing music of the Ahkha dances.
