Taninthayi Division is the southern most part of Myanmar. Dawei- the capital city of Taninthayi Division- known as a seaport. Having a long costal area, Taninthayi Division replete with natural resources, especially marine products such as fish and prawn. Marine products such as fish and prawn of the Myeik Archipelago have earned a large amount of foreign exchange annually. With secure and smooth road transportation and speedy flow of commodities, fish and prawn production and export have increased creating more job opportunities. Accordingly, private entrepreneurs have built cold storage factories to produce high quality products for export and contribute to development of national economy. |
