The Beauty of Tamonyel Region

For the development in every region of the State, the government has laid down the development projects in 24 regions for the development of national races and 5 rural development plans.

It mainly emphasized on the development in economy, education, health, ensuring smooth and secure transport and human resource sectors.

In doing so, efforts are being made for equally development and narrowing development gap between rural and urban region and most of the border regions are developing with new appearance.

Among these developing regions we had a chance to document the development of Tamonyel in Muse District, Northern Shan State.

Firstly, we paid homage to Yan Aung Myin Zede which is built at the top of a mound in Tamonyel.

Then we arrived at the Basic Education High School in Tamonyel where the native youths pursing their education.

To promote the education standard, the media room, e-education learning center, computer rooms are being opened for the students there.

We can see the Taung Htan wood in a distance. The significant fact of Taung Htan plants is their stems which are not totally curved from the stem.

The residents explained that the symbol of Tamonyel is Taung Htan plants.

Next, we also observed the other development in Tamonyel and saw the health care activities.

In the Station Hospital, the skilful doctors and nurses are giving 24 hour medical treatments by using modern medicines.

Being a Station Hospital, people from the neighbouring villages can also take medical treatments rendered by the service personnel with goodwill, so the standard of Health Sector has become higher than before in this region.

A Telephone Exchange Station is opened for the convenience of local people who want to communicate not only to local but also abroad.

Tamonyel is a highland region according to its geographical features, so cultivation is the mainstay of their living.

As tea is mainly cultivated in the region, one can witness the thriving tea plantation along the sides of mountain ranges.

That’s why, the developing process in various sectors of Tamonyel in Northern Shan State shows the effective results of border areas development programme in Myanmar.

So, it is undeniable that these changing developments appear as the fruitful results from the cooperation among the government, Tamadaw and people.
