Baddhanta Eindapala
(Tipitakadara, Tipitaka Kawvida)
Palidaw means words and teachings of the lord Buddha. Ahhtakahta is commentaries on Buddhist Pali texts. There are still more explanations in presentation of Ahhtakahta writer. The more enlarged and detailed explanatory is called Tiga. Sitting the Dhamma Sariya exam, up to the Tipitakadara is so high-ranging that, one have to sit for other exams in between. Only when one has passed these exams with high marks, he is given the chance to sit the Tipitakadara exam. The forth coming Tipitakadara sayadaws have to learn their studies from the experienced sayadaws one or two hours a day and the self-study time is about 10 hours. After they have learned by heart, they repeat their studies from memory and write them down under the supervision of a senior monk. By making a general round of discussions and studying by own spacing, they try hard to recite their studies perfectly and fluently for about 5 times without any assistance only when they attain 60 marks in reciting and 40 in writing they are permitted to sit for the Tipitakadara exam.
Baddhanta Vansapala Linkara
(Tipitakadara, Tipitaka Kawvida) (Dhammabhandagarika)
While studying the three repositories, I try to concentrate just on them. I control my mind not to wander to other affairs but to get fairness of mind only in my studies. If they get 15 marks out of the given 100, they simply pass them exam and when they achieve marks 85 and above, they offered the title with honours. Keeping in mind the principles and marking scheme of the Tipitakadara exam, sanghas have to learn the three repositories of Buddhist Scriptures and 54 treatises of the Buddhist synod and sit for the one month long exam. By reverently proffering the religious literatures in memory, the noble sanghas strive for perpetration of the Theravada Buddha Sasana.
