Today, we present to you, two amazing French classical guitarists, known as the ‘ Duo Astor”.
Gael Chiche and Francesco Bernier performed with their brilliant classical guitar performance at our world renown, “ Strand Hotel”.
Everyone who appreciate music have been invited to this performance, which have been arranged by Yongon’s Alliance Francaire and co-sponsored by Total E&P Myanmar and Pansea Hotel, Yangon. “Duo Astor” was formed by Gael Chiche and Francesco Bernier in 1996 who studied music at Ecde Normale Arts Music school, Paris and later on at the University of Montreal in Canada where they received their doctorates.

In 2003, they further received degrees from Paris’s Conservatoire National Superieur ole Musique.
“ Duo Astor” performed in Spain, Italy, France and Portugal receiving many medals and international awards. Besider performing in Denmark, Germany, Russia, the United States, India and central Africa they made appearances in many famous music concerts in Paris.
Now, this is their 1st performance and trip to Myanmar. This performance was initiated by the French Embassies in Asia.
From here the two musicians will be going on to Manila, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Vientiane to perform there.
