Today, most of the people in the world are drinking coffee daily. So, the numbers of coffee consumers are increasing day by day. Coffee is being consumed in many different ways. 3 in 1 or instant coffee mix, which saves a lot of time and can be carried around easily. So, it has become popular among consumers.

Consumers like instant coffee-mix because it dissolves easily and no residue left in the cups, no coffee particles, and no foam.

With the aim of producing locally, Myanma Farms Enterprise has built the Golden Lion Instant Coffee Factory at Pway Taung Coffee Plantation in Pyin Oo Lwin, Mandalay in 2000.

Assistant Director U Hla Myint said, "Golden Lion Instant Coffee Factory is situated in Pway Taung Coffee Orchard on the way of Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin road. It is 8 acres wide. Our factory was built by Myanmar Engineers. It has been tested at Sein Pan ward in Mandalay in 1997. According to the experiences, our Golden Lion Factory was started in Pway Taung. It was successfully opened on the 8^th of April 2000. After opening the factory, Golden Lion Instant Coffee-Mix can be sold intensively in the market. The three objectives for building the factory are:

(1) People from our country can easily drink coffee-mix and tea-mix.

(2) It is need to be known, this instant coffee-mix and tea-mix are produced with the use of pure coffee mix and green tea mix.

(3) Instead of using pure coffee mix and green tea mix, which have to be imported from abroad, we use tea and coffee mix in our factory and save a lot of foreign exchange.

Only quality coffee seeds from Pyin Oo Lwin and Naung Cho regions were used. Now, 50,000 packs each weighing 20 gm can be produced, daily. In building this factory, local coffee consumers can now by coffee-mix locally and cheaply. Everybody can now easily buy not only instant coffee-mix, but also instant tea-mix and lemon tea-mix with the use of pure coffee and pure green tea.

These products can now be easily bought and distributed. Coffee seeds are also being exported abroad and instant coffee-mix from Golden Lion Instant Coffee Factory, has been a great success with consumers.
