A poem gives all its readers much deep feelings and powerful thoughts. Whenever his hands move, soft and skillful fingers can create rhythmic and pleasant melody, which resembles a lovely poem. I would like to introduce you to him. However, it has to be in the past tense for he is no more music icon. This is his 1st installment of his life and work. He is music academy award winner Pianist Hla Htut to whom Myanmar people accord honour and affection. Pianist Hl Htut was born in 1936 in Wakema Township, Ayeyawaddy Division. He was the youngest among 7 siblings. His parents are Myanmar Htoo Cruise Service owner Engineer U San Htoo and Daw Mya. He pursued basic education at Wakema Basic Education Primary School and Higher education at No. (1) Basic Education High School. |

You might call him a prodigy for before he was 5 years old; he began playing the piano with the guidance of Harpist Sayagyi U Ba Than. When he was 6, he got a chance to broadcast his first creation from Chin Chaung Broadcasting Station, the first post-war station of the Burma Broadcasting Service. He matriculated in 1957 and joined Yangon University (Yankin College) and Mandalay University. He became a professional pianist when he was a second year intermediate student. He won many prizes in piano playing competitions since he was young. When he was 18, he could compose a song named Htu-Chay-Hylwar, Letter of Explanation, which was broadcast from Radio Myanmar. Pianist Hla Htut had written over 1,000 songs for radio and films play back and "Mone-Yit- Lae-Oo", " Being left Behind with Her Hatred", "Pann-Dwae-Ne-Wai", "Abound with Flowers", "Aeit-Yue-Ma-Pyaw-Thor-Nya-Myar", "Nights I can't sleep", Myanma-Shu-Ginn-Myanmar- Sate-Yinn " Myanma Panorama and Myanmar Sentiment ", " Doh-Pyi-Daung-Zu-Thar " " Our United Brethrens ", " Chit-A-Datebae ", " Meaning of Love ", Chit-Tae-Thu-Nge_Lae, " My Beloved Old Flame ", " A-Hla-Thitsa-Tayar " "The Truth of Beauty" and "Mann-Myo-Thuzar-May". " Charming Lady Of Mandalay City" are but some of his popular hits which endeared him to the audience. I think, I've said much. Now, let's listen to what his wife had to say. |

He composed a song entitled "A-Hla-Thitsa-Tayar" "The Truth Of Beauty " which is a Myanmar video playback song. Whenever you listen to it, instead of becoming monotonous, the song offers you enjoyment, refreshment as well as admiration for beauty.
