Kyeeni-Chauk railroad section in Magway Division

Traveling by train is more convenient and save the money than the others. With the aims of enabling the people to travel across the Nation by train, ensuring smooth flows of commodities and contributing towards the development of the regions, Myanma Railways build new railroads and bridges yearly and operates new route.

Improving the railroads among the Nation, it is help towards the economics progress and high social standard of the people. So, the government is laying emphasis on development of the transportation sector within the nation. Due to these consequences, Myanma Railways of the Ministry of Rail Transportation opened a new Kyeeni-Chauk rail road which is 4.3 miles long in Magway Division.

According to the opening of the Kyeeni-Chauk railway line, people living in town on the eastern and western bank of the Ayeyawady can travel to Chauk by car and then to NayPyiTaw Pyinmana at the same day. And agricultural product of Magway Division such as beans and pulses and edible oil crops can be transported by train to the other region conveniently.

Before 1988, Myanma Railways operated 1,976.35miles of the railroads, 2,793.86 miles of the rail tracks and 487 railways stations through out the country. Nowadays, under the guidance of the Head of State Myanma Railways can operate 1,168.21miles of rail roads, 1,299.43 miles of the rail tracks and 318 railways stations.

Additionally, 3,144.56 miles of rail roads, 4,093.29 miles of rail tracks and 805 rail stations are being existed through out the country. Due to the efforts of the Myanma railways, people can travel every parts of the region in the country with peacefully and conveniently by train. Concerning the Kyeeni-Chauk railroad section the locals expressed their feeling’

 Opening the Kyeeni-Chauk railroads section in 2nd September, we can travel to NayPyiTaw conveniently and directly. From there, we can go every parts of the country conveniently.

 We used motor roads before the railroads have not existed. In the past, we can go from Chauk to Kyauk PaDaung by car first, and then we proceeded to NayPyiTaw by train. According to open the Kyeeni- Chauk rail roads in our region, we can travel to NayPyiTaw from Chauk directly. So that, I would like to express my gratitude to the government on behalf of the local people.
