Kyaukse Industrial Zone

Systematic steps are being taken for the development of national economy, making better use of natural and human resources. More factories and mills are being built for the development of industries and technology.

Accordingly, industrial zones are being built across the nation. Especially in Central Myanmar, Kyaukse industrial zone is set up with various kinds of industries.

Kyaukse vest factory was opened in January 2003. The three major departments are knitting, finishing and garment departments. At the knitting department, cone winders, single and double circular knitting machines, flat knitting machines, inspection machines, and rib circular knitting machines are being operated in full capacity.

With the combined potentials of man and machineries, the knitting department can produce four rollers per eight-hour assignment. Next, these rollers are transferred to the finishing department.

At the garment department, sewing, printing and drying steps are being done with the use of modern machines. Therefore, the products of the factory T-shirts, sports shirts and vests are of high quality and very popular.

Kyaukse candy factory was opened in February 2002 which is now producing import substitute, high quality sweets with various flavors. In the meantime, the factory creates more job opportunities for the locals.

With zest and zeal and expertise, the employees are operating syrup stirring autoclave, high speed sugar dissolving boilers, soft candy vaccum cookers, aluminium alloy pans, roller type kneaders and batch rollers in full capacity. The factory can produce 450 metric tons of candies annually and it has strong local market.

Kyaukse footwear factory has been running since April 2002. Various designs of Ethyl Venal Acetate, EVA slippers and sandals are being manufactured with the use of modern equipments like saw machines, splitting machines, hydraulic cutting press. As the slippers and sandals are popular for the quality, the production rate increases year by year.

With the objective to provide local-made sewing machines for individual domestic purpose and for small busineses, Kyaukse sewing machines manufacturing factory was opened in July 2002.

The factory has foundry, machine shop, painting shop and assembly shop where spare parts and machines are produced step by step. The factory produces 100,000 Mg Myanmar sewing machines annually.

Import-substitute sewing machines are being sold at reasonable price for the convenience of people from towns and villages.

Kyaukse bicycle factory, opened in April 2002, is now producing Mg Myanmar bicycles for ladies and gents as well as electric bikes and loader bicycles in an extensive scale. In order to create job opportunities and fulfill as import substitutes, the factory is producing high quality bicycles to meet the needs of local demand. Thus, Mg Myanmar bicycles, loader bicycles and electric bikes are very popular for the quality standard.

Kyaukse polypropylene plastic factory was commissioned since April 2003. It produces plastic bags daily with the three shifts. The factory is run by skilled workers and with the installation of modern machines.

The factory produces polypropylene plastic bags to pack various kinds of goods such as onion, rice, cement, etc. In order to produce high quality plastic bags, raw materials of PP yarn, PP lamination, modifier opaque white and Kraft paper are used.

Another important industry is cement factory which saves foreign exchange and increase the number of local technicians for the cement production. It is greatly beneficial for the construction of development infrastructures of the nation.

Kyaukse, located in Central Myanmar, is the city developing with industries and factories in accordance with the requirements of the State, for the advancement of industrial sector.
