When we study the production process of transformer we will just see the transformer tank making process. In the tank making section, cutting and bending of steel sheet is made by shearing machine and bending machines according to the drawings which are different due to the capacities.
All tanks are made with high quality steel plate or steel sheets. The tank side corrugated fin wall is formed by corrugated forming machines as per each specification.
The tank base is welded together with the corrugated fin wall on special design rotating welding machine called manipulator.
Tank cover is also made of steel plate using punching and drilling machines. The base and cover of the tank are joined and welded with the side corrugated fin wall.
The tank is tested 100% leakage proof seams by using Ultra Violet lamp and foam test and physical strength is also tested.
All tanks are shot blasted in order to remove all unnecessary trace of grease, rust, welding slag and other impurities. After that the tank is painted by two layers of anticorrosive primer coat and high gloss enamel finishing coat.
Core stacking is made in core fabrication section according to the capacity and the respective drawings. The transformer core is made of high grade low loss grain oriented cold rolled silicon steel sheets with highly resistant double sided insulation.
High voltage and low voltage coil winding is made in winding section according to respective drawings and capacities using copper conductor. The high voltage winding is multiple layer winding made of round on rectangular copper wire, insulated with either enamel or layer of insulation paper.
We can see the stacked and inspected core from core section and winded coil from winding section are assembled in assembling section.
The assembled transformer core and coil are sent to testing section for intermediate test.
After testing test report is recorded for each and every transformer, the magnetic of core with windings is completely dried in the vacuum dryer before the transformer is put into the tank. After drying the transformer, the transformer is assemble with the tank and fill with the insulation oil for no trace of humidity to avoid flashover within the windings.
And then complete the assembling with the tank cover and other accessories. After completing the assembling final testing is made in the testing room and the test is passed ready for delivery to customers. Every step of the testing result is kept record for after sales service.
