Oil is natural resources of our land and our government has been exploiting natural resources for the benefit of the nation and the people.

Myanmar oil and natural gas can be found in central region, Taninthayi Coastal region, delta region and Rakhine Coastal region.

Inlard oil wells are also to be found in Magwe Region, Bago Region and Ayeyawaddy Region.

Mann oil field is situated on the west bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River at about 3 miles away from Minbu in Magwe Region.

The first exploration well was drilled successful to the target depth of 7,002 ft in the north of the area in February 1970 that was to be Mann Oil Filed in future.

In Mann Oil Filed, renovation of old oil wells and drillings of new wells are being undertaken.

The gas produced from Mann, Htaukshabin, Peppi and Ayadaw Oil fields have been supplied to other industries,

Liquified petroleum gas (LPG) Factory (Minn Bu) is located near Mann Oil Field. LPG is a mixture of Propane and Butane hydrocarbon gases being liquefied either under pressure or refrigerator below the boiling points of components.

No.3 Kyaw Swa Chemical Fertilizer Factory is producing pearl chemical fertilizer. The main raw materials are natural gas, water and air. A-Phauk and Pyi Taung Tan Oil fields under MOGE, supplying Natural gas for the factory which produces 600 tons of Pearl chemical fertilizer daily by using 11.49 million cubic feet of natural gas.

Oil and natural gas are supplied to local factories, trains and power stations.

To keep abreast with the world and to become a modern developed nation, energy sector is very essential. Due to the growing population, higher living standard and manufacturing industries, more natural gas and oil are needed day by day. And thus all these requirements are being fulfilled by the Ministry of Energy.
