Beauty of the Women of Myanmar ( Pre-War Period )

We, MRTV-3 had chosen the dress styles of the pre war period. At that time, Be San Pat (or) a kind of hairdo coiled around a comb was very popular hairstyle among Myanmar women.Some hair knots are flat and some are broad at the top and smaller at the bottom.
This style of hair knot was popularly known as BA hair knot and it was popular among University students of that period. Let’s take a look.

BA hair knot (broad at the top and smaller at the bottom)
Now, our audiences are looking at BA hair knot thin glass Nylon jacket with baggy sleeves with round flap at the front and low back bodice.Longyi is a Su Ya Ti Longyi and a shawl is worn gracefully around the shoulders.

Bee Kyaw Pat hair knot

Bee Kyaw Pat (or) the style of hair do with the hair wound around a comb just above the neck. Long (or) short combs are used, to get the desired knots.
Usually wear Gold peacock necklace, gold button and jacket with round flap at the front, bodice with gold strings and gold belt.All those articles are made of real gold and when worn with a satin Longyi really attractive.
Dancer’s hair knot
This hair knot style is worn by dancers of the prewar period. This style has a tress of loose hair, left hanging after tying a hair knot and a flower is usually attached to the hair knot.

The length of the Longyi is long with a flare bottom. It is called Htai Ma Thein. We will present dance and beauty of a famous dancer of that period.

Bee Za Bat

From 1920 to 26, hair knots become very large. They were worn at ceremonies and social occasions.

Hair knot is decorated with jewelleries and flowers. Pink thin glass nylon blouse with pointed-end sleeves are worn with silk (or) satin Longyi, this adds to the beauty of the wearer.

Symmetrical hair knot
Following popular large hair knot wearing of a symmetrical hair knot became popular.Bodice and Longyi are of similar fabric or design.

A thin glass Nylon blouse with baggy sleeves are beautifully worn and a velvet band of cloth is fixed to the Longyi at the top, and velvet Pone Daw slippers are worn to accentuate the beauty of the wearer.

Very thin glass nylon jacket is buttoned in the middle front with pearls attached to the end of the sleeves and to the end of the Longyi.
