Muse is a main gateway for border trade between Myanmar and China. Being a strategic city for economy, it is always busy day in and day out.
Apart from Muse, there is one more interesting place near Muse.
It is Muse national race village, which is modeled to represent the nationals residing in Northeastern Shan State.

Muse national race village is comprised with the traditional model houses of Bamar village, Lahta village, Kayan village, Kayin village and Ta Aung Palaung village.
Bamar village was built with Bamar style houses and we can see a young lady playing the xylophone properly in the room.Lahta tribe, one of the Kayah nationalities has an interesting custom and nature, which could be seen at the village.
At Kayan village, cheerful scene of family recreation with playing of own carved guitar and Kayan grandma spinning the thread are also to be seen.At Kayin village, we can also acquire the knowledge of simple native Kayin Ladies with their traditional house and hosting of sticky rice pack to the guests.
Ta Aung Palaung village dwelling of Nge Palaung national is where we can observe the dressing style of Ta Aung Palaung family and their traditional custom of treating guests with pickled tea.
