I often made riverine tours but riding on the boat across the clear and calm expanse of Innlay Lake is the most enjoyable experience for me.

Travelling in boat with out-board motors, we saw a huge Badonma lotus floating at one place which added the beauty of the Innlay region. The Lotus grew in large numbers in this region.

When we continued our tour between lotuses we arrived at green and pleasant Khaung Taing region admits the quiet mountain ranges on the western bank of Innlay Lake which is 20-minute boat ride from Nyaung Shwe.

Khaung Taing region is so alluring and peaceful to take a rest and carefree stay. If we take a look from here, everybody will feel impressed to see the water surface reflecting the image of "Sin" mountain range on the east bank.

As soon as we got to Khaung Taing without taking a rest, I proceeded to the hot-spring at 2-mile distance the place I would love to visit most.

It is located at the foot of "Letmaung Kwin"mountain means "Arm bended" mountain on the Western side of Innlay Lake.

Khaung Taing hot-spring is a natural spring, it is famous as a place where natives and the custom local and foreign visitors come for a refreshing and exhilarating bath. It also assists the fitness of health and enjoyment.

On the way back from the hot-spring, we saw Danu and Taung Yoe nationals who were rushing to reach in time for the Khaung Taing Market Day. The place I’d chosen to stay in Innlay Khaung Taing is “Khaung Daing Hu Pin Hotel”.

I like most in this region is welcoming the guests cordially and attending to their needs. The Hotel which is being built with combining ratio of land and water systematically is very extraordinary.

The entire bungalow is decorated with artistic works of Myanmar traditional Handicrafts which are so amazing.

As for me, I decided to put up at the floating cottage. Because I admire the life of the lake-dwellers who can live on waters as on land.

These separate bangles make me peaceful and relaxing stay here. The main living room is also convenient to rest peacefully during the day. The majority of the staffs are local nationals and the utensils mostly used are local made.

I’m so lucky to have a chance to read my favourite book while viewing leisurely the spectacular scenes of Innlay waters.

That’s why the Innlay Lake so fascinating against the greenish-blue wish mountain ranges is one of the best places for rest and recreation and worth a visit to enjoy the natural scenic beauty which can never looses its charm.
